YWCA news in October

A new committee member's training course opened on October 21st. Nine members have learned YWCA's vision, mission, organization, and met with

senior committee member who has been dedicated to YWCA's activities.

Youngdengpo Women Resources Development Center hosted a job fair called "Heart flutter job seeking day!" on October 19th. Youngdeongpo Center prepared for tables where job-seekers are able to meet recruiters from private companies.

Seoul YWCA campaigned Equal Pay for Equal Work on 25th May. They spoke out the large gap between women and men's wage for equal work and received signatures to designate "Equal Pay for Equal Work Day"

Watch us; we are the Women Entrepreneur in Thandaunggyi Seoul YWCA had an article once to let you know that we are implementing ‘Sharing and Dreams’ in Myanmar supported by Samsung and Community chest of Korea for one year. (making the ribbon with leftover pieces) The purpose is to get their economic independence and self-confidence. There are two batches in Thandaunggyi during the year. The first batch was finished in July, and from the August, the second batch was started their lessons! They had a handicraft class and ICT class. Through lessons, they could think of the business ideas and the profits. Thandunggyi is located in a mountain area, therefore it sometimes has trouble using electricity well, but they are having ICT class during this month. Please cheer them up and send regards!

Seoul YWCA proceeded media monitoring based on gender equality perspective, here's the third episode that explains Korean current affairs programs.
