Call for applications to create social impact! Seoul YWCA is looking for passionate volunteers who is able to provide refugees with education services like English or professional skills in Mae Hong Son, Thailand. Anyone interested in promoting human rights can apply for this program, but s/he should be living in South Korea due to three preliminary classes prior to the departure.     1. Health promotion service for seniors On March 18th, Bongcheon Social Service Center had a health promotion service for seniors in the area. This service is contributed by Nowwoori Hospital once a month as a pro bono activity. Basic blood pressure, blood-sugar check, electrical massage service, etc. provided healing time to soothe seniors' mind and body.         2. Resident group bread sharing voluntary service "Baguette", a resident volunteering group of Garak Social Service Center started their first activity on March 21th. Since 2014, the group has shared love by giving out homemade bread for seniors in the area and lower-income groups.         3.     "YWCA supports the candidates of 20th general election who opens the world of no-nuclear power plants by developing renewable energy."   Seoul YWCA conducted a card section performance at the 100th anti-nuclear power plant campaign on March 15th, 2016.     The YWCA anti-nuclear power plant campaign has reached 100 times since March 10th, 2014. It has taken place on every Tuesdays in front of the Korea YWCA for two years.   This time, especially Seoul YWCA appealed to citizens to vote for candidates agree with anti-nuclear power plant policy nationwide in South Korea. The general election will take place April 13th, 2016. Following the campaign, participants marched Myungdong Street to speak out against nuclear power. "No more Fukushima!", "Gather solar power to remove nuclear power plant!", "No nuclear power for the next generation!" were chanted for sustainable Korean society.
